General Information

The next program starts on August 17, 2022.

Applications are accepted each year between November 1 - March 1 with decisions made by March 30.  However, for fall 2022 applications will close at the later date of April 15, 2022.

Late application is possible from March 1 until start of the program. (Note: a late application fee will apply.)

To apply to the Master of Arts in Translation, Textual Interpretation and Philology, one must complete the following steps:

  • Fill in personal and educational details on the application form.
  • Upload a statement of purpose.
  • Upload official Higher Secondary School (Grade 11 and 12) transcript with official English translations where applicable. (Additional documents required for Local and Indian students: Grade 10 transcript, character certificate and migration certificates from Grade 10 and high school, and citizenship copy).
  • Provide two letters of reference from college or university professors.
  • Upload proof of English language proficiency (unless native speaker or Bachelor studies completed in English in an English-speaking country).
  • Pay the application fee.

After submitting the application, qualified applicants will be asked to submit a translation sample and may be asked to take a placement test in either Tibetan or Sanskrit.

Remember to click the Save button after you complete each field. Once you have completed the requirements, declare that your application is complete. You can save your incomplete application at any point and come back to complete it later.
